Deadly Homework Club

Did you know Currimundi State School has a Deadly Homework Club for Indigenous Students?

The Club meets every Wednesday afternoon from 2:40 to 4:00pm. At 'Deadly' the students do their homework but also have afternoon tea and work on indigenous games and craft activities.

They have been learning about the native wattle tree that was used, and still is, for clothing, medicine and food.

They have also worked with clay to create native animals. Their amazing teacher aide, Miss Lilly, supplied the clay, shells and twine for the students to experiment with.

If you have an Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander child, please enquire at the office about joining the Deadly Homework Club.
