Award winning artist
Raelean Hall (nee McMaster) started primary school at Currimundi State School in 1977. An all-rounder at school, Raelean loved school life, especially sports, art, going to the beach, and reading and writing. She has fond memories of her teachers at Currimundi, including teacher-librarian Mrs Gayle Cameron.
While at school Raelean was part of the environmental club and feels that the school helped to nurture her appreciation and interest in our coastal environment. Always creatively talented, Raelean was one of the students whose artwork was selected to contribute toward designing the school logo.
Raelean started her professional arts career in 1997, and is recognised for beautiful seascapes of the coast. Her talent in art is diverse in style, medium and approach, and while her traditional painting is highly sought after by art investors throughout the world, she is now venturing into the semi-abstract realms of painting bringing great change and emotive elements to her work.
In 2011 Raelean won the Rotary-Shadforth ArtCoast Award, which included a trip to New York to present her work in the Ward-Nasse Gallery in SoHo, Manhattan. She was also invited to exhibit in a joint exhibition in March 2012 in New York to honour International Women’s Day.
Raelean’s passion to merge art and science is state of the art, where she presents eclectic knowledge, skill and an experience base that incorporates a Psychology degree (BA Sc), a Masters in Arts Therapy and her newly completed Doctorate in Arts Therapy.
Thank you Raelean for your donation, it now hangs proudly in the Administration building.
