Congratulations to Shane for being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Shane was a student at Currimundi in the 1990's and School Captain in 1997.
After leaving school Shane trialled careers in music promotion and real estate. While working on a super yacht overseas, he decided that he would like to start a business and be able to retire by age 30.
When Shane returned to the Sunshine Coast he completed a combined USC degree in Business Marketing and a TAFE certificate in Hospitality which enabled him to open his own coffee shop in Mooloolaba.
He then decided to franchise his coffee shop and has since opened seven other stores in Queensland, five in Melbourne and one in Sydney.
Shane was Guest of Honour at our 2017 Senior Leader's Investiture. He spoke very passionately about his journey from School Captain to successful businessman and entrepreneur. He spoke of having a dream, turning his dream into a plan and following it through with passion and determination - he is an inspiration for all of our students.
