At the beginning of this Term I was relocated from my permanent position as Deputy Principal at Talara Primary College to my new home, Currimundi, as Deputy Principal for Year’s 03 to 06. I was very saddened to learn of Carl’s unexpected passing and had worked with him in a professional capacity over the last few years. I recognise the devastating loss for the Currimundi community and his family and hope to provide a supportive environment and a sensitive transition to Carl’s role.
Having worked at Currimundi 4 years ago in an acting Deputy Principal capacity, it is lovely to see so many friendly and familiar faces of teachers, parents, carers and students. Currimundi has a close-knit community feel and the students are friendly and respectful.
Over the past two weeks I have visited the Years 03 to 06 classes many times and have had the pleasure of hosting two senior parades. Our next senior Parade is in Week 7, Monday 22 August, why not come along and join our celebrations!
